Oleksa Novakivskyi (1872 – 1935) was a Ukrainian artist, graphic designer, and educator. He created a new aesthetic in Ukrainian art, synthesizing in his works the richness of Ukrainian traditional forms, folklore, mythology, and religious painting. He was born in eastern Podillia in the village of Slobodo-Obodivka (Vinnytsia region). This scarf features the painting "Pink Evening," painted with oil in the expressionist style.
